Why this site exists
Pay questions in this trade are usually settled by breakroom rumor, because the answers sit in hundred-page agreements nobody carries. AMT Index puts the ratified contracts side by side and cites every figure to the document, page, and section it came from, so the argument can end with a page number instead of a guess.
Who maintains it
AMT Index is built and maintained by a working, FAA-certificated A&P mechanic at a major US airline. The maintainer’s identity is withheld as part of the project’s neutrality commitment: every figure on this site is verifiable against archived source documents, so trust rests on the sources, not on a name. The contracting entity behind institutional licenses is disclosed in the first scoping reply, before anything is billed.
The site takes no position on any union, election, or ratification vote. It is free for mechanics, always: no ads, no tracking scripts, no accounts. Errors are corrected and logged publicly, permanently — see the corrections log and the methodology.
The compiled dataset is licensed CC BY 4.0 — reuse it with attribution to AMT Index. The underlying agreements remain their parties’ documents. For how to cite a figure in a filing or a paper, see citation guidance.
