Target
AMT Index aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The site is built to be readable on old and locked-down phones, because that is what a mechanic carries on shift.
What is implemented
- All content readable with JavaScript disabled; the full comparison matrix is server-rendered.
- Text and interface colors meet AA contrast in both the light and dark themes, which follow your system setting unless you override them.
- Semantic headings, table row and column headers, landmark regions, and visible keyboard focus on every control.
- Wide tables and the chart are keyboard-focusable scroll regions with accessible names; the chart exposes an arrow-key readout and every charted value also appears in the table.
- Calculator results are announced to screen readers when they change.
- Form controls are at least 16px on touch devices so mobile browsers do not zoom on focus, with touch targets sized for gloved hands.
Known limits
The progression chart is a data visualization; its content is fully duplicated in the comparison table below it, which is the accessible path to the same values. Source documents are third-party PDFs whose own accessibility this site does not control.
Reporting a barrier
Email hello@amtindex.com with the page and what failed. Accessibility defects are treated like data defects: fixed, and the fix stated.
