A&P license premium, by airline

16.E(1): $8.50/hr for holding BOTH FAA Airframe and Powerplant (or Airframe+FCC GROL, or Powerplant+FCC GROL). A single license pays $4.25/hr under 16.E(2).

Structure: $4.25/hr per FAA license (A&P = two licenses = $8.50), FCC license $6.00/hr, total license pay capped at $8.50/hr regardless of licenses held. Cap corroborated separately in the Appendix A Section A table (p.149: $5.25 at 12/4/2022, $8.50 from 1/1/2023).

Two licenses (A&P) = $8.50/hr. Schedule: one license $4.25, two $8.50, three $12.75 (third license starred with conditions in the agreement — read Article 15 before relying on the three-license tier). Rates as effective 8/16/2023; license premium counts in the basis for overtime, sick leave and vacation per Article 14.

Technician and higher classifications. Combined license/skill premiums cap at $8.00/hr normally, $12.00/hr in the stated exception case.

Both Airframe AND Powerplant = $5.00/hr; a single license (Airframe OR Powerplant) = $2.50/hr.

Paid PER LICENSE: $2.90/hr each for the FAA Airframe or Powerplant license — both licenses earn the premium for each. Printed per-license figure; never a computed sum.

FCC ($0.50) and Repairman Certificate ($2.90) premiums apply only to seven grandfathered LOA #5 employees and offset, not stack, with A/P premiums. GSE Mechanics: ASE certification premium $0.20/hr each, maximum three (19.16). Licenses must be registered with the Company (19.10). Maintenance Controllers have the license premium incorporated into salary (non-compounding by annual increases), not paid as an hourly adder (19.10).

Printed combined-licenses maximum $4.25/hr — equal to the per-license schedule at DOR: Airframe $2.12 + Powerplant $2.13. Avionics Technician premium $4.25 at DOR (starred conditions in Article 25.C; pre-DOR column printed $4.00, Powerplant $2.00). Entitlement: a premium is paid for each license the employee is required to hold AND uses in the performance of duties.

Printed max $3.00/hr: $1.50 first license + $1.50 second where required by the Company for the work performed (4.C.1). The premium IS included in PDO and holiday pay accruals; only overtime-rate compounding is excluded (4.C.2).

AMTs awarded base-maintenance-support-shop positions are considered Repairmen and receive no license premium except as provided in Letter K (4.C.1, pp.139-140).

Printed combined rate for employees holding more than one License and/or Certificate: $5.50/hr ($2.75 per license), effective May 6, 2025 through May 5, 2029. Scheduled increase May 6, 2029: $3.00 each, $6.00 combined (25.D.2).
